An independent website, run from Ontario, with free mortgage calculators and guides for people buying or renewing a home in Canada.
What we do
We build calculators for the questions that come up when you buy, renew or break a mortgage, with extra detail for Ontario and Toronto. We write the guides in plain English and keep them short.
What we are not
We are not a mortgage brokerage, a lender or a financial adviser. We don't arrange mortgages, quote personal rates or tell you which product suits you. For that, talk to a mortgage agent or broker licensed by FSRA in Ontario (or your province's regulator), or to a lender directly.
How we check the numbers
- Every tax rate, premium, cap and rule comes from the government or agency that sets it: Ontario.ca, the City of Toronto, CMHC, OSFI, the Department of Finance, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada and federal law. Each calculator links to its sources and shows the date we last checked them.
- The calculator code is tested against the official worked examples and against separate reference calculations, including every bracket edge, rebate cap and premium band.
- When a rule changes, we update the calculator and the "last checked" date.

How the site makes money
Right now it doesn't. There are no ads and no paid links. In the future we may add clearly labelled referral links to licensed mortgage brokerages or lenders, or display ads. If we do, the disclosure will sit next to the link, not hidden in the footer, and paid placements will never change how a calculator works.
About the domain
This domain was used by unrelated businesses in the past. This site has no connection to any of them. It started fresh in October 2026.
