Privacy policy
Short version: the calculators run in your browser and we never see what you type. We use Google Analytics to count visits and calculator use.
Calculator inputs
Every calculator on this site runs as JavaScript in your browser. Prices, incomes, balances and rates you enter are not sent to us or anyone else, and we don't store them. When you finish a calculation we send Google Analytics an event naming which calculator was used (for example "cmhc_premium"). The event contains none of your numbers.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and which calculators they use. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>) and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. We also record when you click a link to another website, including the address of that link. Google processes this data under its own terms. How to opt out
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. The calculators work the same either way.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. We don't add you to a mailing list.

We link to government sources and other sites. Their privacy practices are their own.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask what personal information we hold about you. In practice, that is only emails you've sent us. Write to contact@mortgageratefinders.com.

If we add advertising or referral partners, we'll update this page before they go live.
